GPU: Think of it as Gamer Power Utopia
In the highly competitive world that is gaming, nothing gets folks’ boxers
in a bunch faster than rig comparisons. Unfortunately, what a lot of people
don’t realize is that all that CPU they just invested in isn’t going to deliver
much in the way of performance, unless you’re crunching numbers or
crafting letters.
To truly maximize your gaming experience, you need the performance pop
that a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) delivers. In case you didn’t know it,
your GPU is the squirrel inside your rig that keeps your game play smooth,
prevents pixelization, and provides all the cool details, like wafting smoke
and realistic facial expressions, that make it fun to play today’s games.
Nothing kills the moment faster than frame freeze, distortions or slllllooowww
game play, and a high-performance GPU eliminates all of that.
And, if you select an XFX Graphics Card with an Nvidia based GPU, you
can trick out your rig without breaking your budget. Plus you get better
bragging rights, because, as you’ll see in our handy chart below, you get
more bang bang bang for your buck. And that tool that bought a weighted
down CPU? Keep him around, because he’s going to be an easy target.
Performance tests and ratings are measured using specific computer systems and/or components and reflect the approximate performance
of NVIDIA products as measured by those tests. Any difference in system hardware or software design or configuration may affect actual
performance. Buyers should consult other sources of information to evaluate the performance of systems or components they are
considering purchasing.
